M-series Door Frames
MegaMet-M-series frames are designed for installation prior to walls in new masonry construction, wood stud, or steel stud walls. This highly adaptable design may also be installed in existing masonry, concrete, or steel framed walls.  

Variety is our specialty with jamb depths available in 1/8” increments from as small as 2-3/4”, to as large as 36”. Special face, rabbet, return, and stop dimensions, are available at no extra charge, without the confusion, cost, or hassle of minimum quantity set up charge. M-series frames shall be fabricated from 100% American made Commercial Quality grade steel. USA made steel usually from “Steel City” USA, Birmingham, AL, with thickness options that include 16, 14, 12, and 10 gauges. All gauges are available in cold rolled, hot-dip galvanneal (A-60) or hot-dip galvanized (G-90), stainless steel # 304 or # 316, all meeting the latest ASTM standards.  

The face corners are fully welded or knocked down for easy field assembly. Like all other series, frames are die-mitered by computerized turrets. M-series jambs are equipped with alignment tabs, and the heads have tight mating slots for strong corners and accurate opening dimensions.

All mortised hardware shall be precision pierced, reinforced, drilled, and tapped in accordance with HMMA-861 and definitions in ANSI A250.6 to manufacturer's templates. Reinforcements for template butts are heavy 7-guage steel, secured in place with reliable and consistent Projection type welders. Strike reinforcements shall be 16-guage, with extruded screw holes, prepared to dimensions and tolerances of ANSI/BHMA A156.115. Reinforcements in 12-gauge steel shall be provided for surface hardware. Steel plaster guards shall be factory installed for all hinge and lock reinforcements. Heavy-duty floor clips spot-welded in place at the bottom of each jamb. Heavy-duty slip-in or welded-in wall anchors per construction requirements shall be provided with each frame.
