CM-series Door Frames
MegaMet-MC-Series frames are a combination of our M-series and our C-series
frames for installation in wood stud, steel stud, or masonry type walls.
MC-Series frames, like our M-Series are designed for installation prior to
walls. Like our C-series frames we provide the drywall backbend so the sheetrock
wall will slide between studs and throat of the frame. Jamb depths available in
1/8” increments, and a variety of special face, rabbet, and return dimensions;
along with special stop heights are available.
CM-series frames shall be fabricated from quality grade 16-, 14-, or 12-guage
cold rolled or hot-dip galvannealed steel (A-60) meeting the latest ASTM
standards. ANSI/SDI A250.8 and NAAMM standard HMMA-860-865 will be followed.
Like our M-series and C-Series frames, computerized turrets die-miter the jambs
with aligning tabs and slots in heads for strong tight corners. The face corners
are fully welded or knocked down for easy field assembly.
All mortised hardware shall be precision pierced, reinforced, drilled, and
tapped in accordance with HMMA-861 and definitions in ANSI A250.6 to
manufacturer's templates. Reinforcements for template butts are heavy 7-guage
steel, secured in place with reliable and consistent Projection type welders.
Strike reinforcements shall be 16-guage, with extruded screw holes, prepared to
dimensions and tolerances of ANSI/BHMA A156.115. Reinforcements in 12-gauge
steel shall be provided for surface hardware.
Heavy-duty floor clips are notched at corners to provide room for easy
installation of sheetrock and are spot-welded in place at the bottom of each
jamb. Heavy-duty welded-in wall anchors are designed to provide room for the
sheetrock to go between the anchor and the back-bend in the throat of the frame.
