MEGAMET INDUSTRIES, INC.

metal magicians at work

Fifty years' experiences can be just that or it can be one year’s experience repeated fifty times.  One leads us from the B-24 Liberator to the B-1B Excalibur.  The other produces only restored B-24s, excellent for museum pieces but worthless for the defense of our country.

Unencumbered by resistance to change and unwieldy top heavy corporate structuring, Megamet Industries, Inc., entered the field with a combined hollow metal experience of over fifty years.  This includes an AHC and a CDC Apprentice with immediate consultation access to over a century of hollow metal expertise.

It has been over thirty years since the United States put a man on the moon.  The technology that enabled that feat was too good to waste.  It took some time but the 3-D graphic and the microchip discovered hollow metal and here we are.

We have not thrown away the old: precision, quality, and craftsmanship. We have only infused the unerring repeatability, enormous memory and speed of the microprocessor combined with NC equipment.

Auto Cad drawings are read into 3-D controllers (Merry-Mech.) translating and outputting to Strippit CAP 1000 turret punches and Hurco back gauge equipped press brakes.  Assembly, when required, is executed by skilled craftsmen using proven shielded wire welders.  All welds are ground to reproduce surface smoothness without damage to structural qualities of weld. Materials are cleaned, phosphate coated and given one shop coat of primer applied by an electrostatic process that insures ionized bonding of primer with subject material.  Such coating meets or exceeds ANSI-A224.1.

Megamet.  Mega for one million.  We’d like to take that to the bank.  Not this year.  Not for years to come.  But with perseverance, attention to detail and the growth emanating from a backlog of satisfied customers, it could well be.

This we pledge to you.  We will never try to show any gain, no matter how little or how great by the production of cheapened, slipshod, or defective work.  That you can take to the bank.

Although young and small, MEGAMET INDUSTRIES has over fifty years of combined hollow metal experience including an ARCHITECTURAL HARDWARE CONSULTANT and a CERTIFIED DOOR CONSULTANT APPRENTICE, along with an experienced attention-to-detail plant staff.

MEGAMET INDUSTRIES has incorporated modern philosophies in designing and engineering a heavy-duty functional steel frame by using 3-D drawing programs (MERRY MECH. & AUTO-CAD) and automated computerized equipment (2-STRIPPET’S CAP 1000, AMADA PRESS BRAKE WITH HURCO BACK GAUGE).  Computerized turrets die-miter the jambs with aligning tabs, and slots in heads for strong tight corners.  Our finishing process includes phosphate cleaning and an electrostatic paint line that leaves a smooth durable finish that meets ANSI/A224.1.
